APOLOGY

I might apologize
For an overt act
And all the while
Conceal the real
Reason for speaking
Even from myself.
'Tis true my words

Offended and yet
I meant not that
Interpretation,
Not what you thought
You heard; and yet
I should have seen
That possible

Interpretation
Which implies
A lack of
Perception or
Sensitivity.
Which is the greater?
I'll apologize for that.
