Well, this subject, I believe, is really not up for interpretation.The culture we live in is the very air we breathe. And so very often when we come across something we know does not jive with our 'cultural sensibilities', we inadvertently twist Scripture into something that matches our cultural sensibilities.

There are many technological advancements in history that, over time, ends up impacting the world in some real and lasting way. One may immediately think of the discovery of electricity, the invention of the automobile, discovery of flight. One may also think of the water mills of late 800 AD or the gutenberg press.
